Call Me Shelly is a new documentary film from James Wolner and Derek Fletcher, nominated for two Upper Midwest Emmy Awards. Based on Season 7 of the investigative podcast Dakota Spotlight, the film marks the filmmakers’ second documentary collaboration, following the Emmy Award-winning The House on Sweet and Seventh.
In 1994, Michele Julson disappeared from Bismarck, North Dakota after telling friends and family she was going to pick up her paycheck. She was never seen again. Decades later, the case still lingers with unanswered questions and a search for what really happened to Shelly.
